Founded in 1989 by Christopher K. McWhorter and his wife, Hope McWhorter, Christopher Optical began as a modest optical practice. The McWhorter family’s journey into the optical industry began even earlier, when Christopher K. McWhorter learned the trade from his father, the original owner of Southern Optical in Nashville. With a deep understanding of craftsmanship and a dedication to providing the highest level of customer care, Christopher K. McWhorter established Christopher Optical with the same commitment to quality that his father had instilled in him.
For over three decades, Christopher Optical became known not only for its high-quality eyewear but also for its personalized approach to service. Under Christopher K. McWhorter’s leadership, the practice thrived, building a strong reputation in Williamson and Maury counties for its dedication to custom eyewear and customer satisfaction.

"I had the most surprising and pleasant experience at Christopher Optical. My favorite sunglasses got bent so I found this shop while looking for somewhere to get them repaired. I was greeted promptly, in a very personable way by Kayla (sp?) and she looked at the glasses. She said she would be right back. Literally within 30 seconds she returned with my glasses good as new. I am not sure the last time I had such a great customer service experience, but I definitely will be returning to Christopher Optical for any future eyewear needs!"

"This place is amazing. It's clean and bright with lots of beautiful displays. I went to get my glasses fixed and it took 3 to 4 minutes for her to fix them, clean them and get them exactly right for my face. She took the time to let me try them on and see the fit afterwards. I have been putting this chore off for weeks now because I imagined it would take a while, just waiting there to have them fixed and worried I wouldn't have glasses for a day or two. All that worry for nothing. Seriously, go there. The eye exams are pretty cool and high tech too."
